2019 is the year of gifted additions to the Samana Legacy team. Crystal Veness's internal beauty and gifts show on her face and in her work. She is not only a magician with the camera, she is also a semi-professional kiteboarder and location independent business owner who travels the world chasing wind and making memories.

Crystal was born in the Philippines but grew up in Canada - landlocked in the prairies of Alberta. Coming from an entrepreneurial family, her youth was filled with hard work and business training. After more than 10 years working with her family business, her itchy feet got the best of her and she packed up her life and went in search of new experiences and saltier water.

Her first encounter with kitesurfing was a life-changing moment, and learning how to fly became her top priority. Since learning to kiteboard in 2015, Crystal has been living in kite spots around the world. Her past work experiences have allowed her to build a digital nomad lifestyle where she can work with small businesses in development, design, and marketing. In the kiteboarding industry, Crystal creates video and blog content introducing kiters to the 'need-to-know' information for kite spots around the globe.
