Linga Mudra (Mudra of Heat) Benefits Increases the Fire element It is believed Linga Mudra has spiritual, mental, and emotional benefits. known for the healing of the respiratory system, sinusitis, asthma, allergies. Protects against colds and releases chills. Regulates low blood pressure, strengthens the immune system. May help move beyond impotence, frigidity or lack of passion Can increase metabolism or the rate at which the body burns energy. Linga mudra is beneficial in the case of excessive cold feeling or cold obstruction in the body. Contraindications People who have problems with bile should not do this mudra. This posture should not be done for a long time in the summer season. In the case of acidity, fever and stomach ulcers should not perform this mudra. Esoteric In Hinduism, linga (also spelled lingam) represents Shiva, the Supreme God. It is a sign of regeneration and is often paired with yoni, a symbol of the feminine.
